Five winning images of the first BBI JU photo competition were announced this week. In total, 32 BBI JU-funded projects have entered 174 pictures in five categories of the competition with the aim to highlight the impacts of the initiative. The winners will be highlighted in the BBI JU communication material and at the EFIB 2021 conference in Vienna, Austria.
In the first edition of the #BBIimpact photo competition BBI JU-funded project were invited to celebrate their achievements through high-quality photos demonstrating the positive impact of the initiative on the environment and the European economy.
The BBI JU projects could submit pictures for one or several of the five competition’s categories.
The winners of each category will be at the centre of a BBI JU promotional campaign, and the winning photos will appear in BBI JU’s publications. In addition, BBI JU will grant access for two representatives of each project to EFIB 2021 conference taking place on 6-7 October in Vienna.
WoodZymes project won the bio-based production process category with MetGenPilotFermentor.
URBIOFIN project won the project results category with PERSEO bioethanol.
DEEP PURPLE project won the people in bio-based industries category with Fermentation culture.
Dendromass4Europe project won the impact of BBI JU category with Car(ry)ing for biodiversity with poplar plantations.
FARMYNG project won the micro and macro photography category with Tenebrio Molitor.
NEWPACK project won the social media contest were the BBI JU LinkedIn followers voted for the Scale up picture.
