The Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy 2016 – IFIB 2016 is a workshop organized by Assobiotec - the Italian Association for the development of biotechnology – together with Innovhub-SSI, and CUOA – aimed at making a survey of research projects in the industrial biotechnology field with the goal to strengthen the network in the Euro-Mediterranean area and to promote industry-university partnerships.

A specific session of pre-organised one to one meetings will run parallel to the Conference, for Initiating face to face contacts between companies, universities and researchers from Europe. 

On the second day, at 10.30pm, Philippe Mengal, BBI JU Executive Director speaks about ‘The BBI as an instrument to support industrial research and innovation’, integrated in the panel ‘Bioeconomy and Biotech topics in H2020 SME Instrument: new frontiers and opportunities'.
